Student Support: Blackboard
Blackboard integrates Web-enabled services to facilitate online learning through services such as online discussion boards and online quizzes. The material is specific to each course, and Blackboard is used only at the instructor’s request. The instructor is then responsible for posting whatever course material he or she decides. Course information such as the syllabus and other classroom documents might be found on Blackboard.
Accessing Blackboard
- Browse to http://eagle.jbu.edu (EagleNET).
- Login to EagleNET.
- Once you are logged in to EagleNET, click my Blackboard.
- You will automatically be logged into Blackboard.

Saving files
There may be times when you want to save a Blackboard file (syllabus, course guide, etc.) to disk, rather than open the content in a browser window.
- Right-click on the file link and choose Save Target As...
- A Save As dialog box will pop up. The appearance of the dialog box will vary between computer operating systems.
- Choose where you want to save the file and click Save.
Removing old courses
After courses are completed, it may take some time for the instructor to un-enroll you from a particular Blackboard course. To minimize the number of courses displayed on your Blackboard course menu, you can manage what is displayed and what is not.
- Click the edit link (pencil tip) in the My Courses module.
- On the Customize: My Courses page, check or un-check the courses you wish to display or not display.
